Lavender Pure Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil is extracted from the flower of the lavender plant, native to northern Africa and the mountainous and stony regions of the Mediterranean. The plant’s name derives from the Latin word meaning “to wash,” and historically the Ancient Persians, Greeks, and Romans added this flower to their baths to help wash and purify their skin. This pale oil has a sweet, floral scent that is common in bath products for its calming and relaxing properties. It is also known as a sleep aid to alleviate mild insomnia and restlessness.
